Do you know some colleges actually give classes studying American Pie?

Loved it, Ellen - dancing and singing in my kitchen.

All I ever needed to know about government I had learned by age nine.  We had a boy's club in our neighborhood which had meetings in the attic of a neighbor's garage.  I was the treasurer and we had 85 cents in the account.  One day a vote came up to spend all the money on candy and pop.  I was the only dissenting vote.  That was the end of the treasury and the club.

Now everyone is claiming part of the national treasury and the government is printing money to make everyone happy.  Surely it will all end well.  HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!

Fred,  We can fix that.  Let the Fed buy up all the debt owned by China and others.  Then, the government pays back the Fed with the same thin air that the money originally came from.  Done.

A politician shows up at an anti-cop rally in Baltimore.

"I am sympathetic with your complaints against the police.  It is a well known fact that most of the crime in your community is comitted by the cops, especially if they are white.  Most of my best friends are black, including my driver and butler.  We call each other niggas.  Now I have brought some gifts for you people from the government.  There are some Obama phones, housing vouchers, food stamps and some 20 round magazines for your Glocks.  Don;t shoot each other though because the other guy may be a registered voter.  We know that we destroyed your familiies, chased away fathers, and created all the pathologies you see around you with our government programs like welfare.  But we have always had good intentions and we have many more billion dollar programs coming.  Enjoy these gifts, vote for us and don't even think about coming out to my gated commumnity."

Well said, Fred.

It's good to hear the truth once in a while.

Now, if you know how to get the Mini marts to sell ammo...WOW !!

The damn gun shops don't take food stamps!!

The background picture is of stormy skies at RR Beach taken last Friday.  And then it got really stormy Sunday.  Winds kept picking up as the day went along.  Waves breaking over the pier at Huron.  I took the picture below about 11 am Sunday right after it fell in front of my window (fortunately not through the window!).  I hope everyone is safe and free from damage!

Oh Pretty Woman???

"Pretty woman walking down the street

Pretty woman the kind I'd like to meet

Pretty woman you're not the truth

No one could look as good as you, mercy"

"Hey baby what's your name?"

"Katlyn Jenner", came the reply.

EEEEEEEYiiiiiiiiiiiiii, get that image out of my mind

60th High School Reunion

He was a widower and she a widow.
They had known each other for a number of years being high school classmates and having attended class
reunions in the past without fail.

This 60th anniversary of their class, the widower and the widow made a foursome with two other singles.
They had a wonderful evening, their spirits high.

The widower throwing admiring glances across the table. The widow smiling coyly back at him.

Finally, he picked up courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?"

After about six seconds of careful consideration, she answered,   "Yes..... yes I will!"

The evening ended on a happy note for the widower.
But the next morning he was troubled.
Did she say “Yes” or did she say “No?”

He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could
not recall. He went over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank.

He remembered asking the question but for the life of him could not recall her response. With fear and trepidation
he picked up the phone and called her.

First, he explained that he couldn't remember as well as
he used to. Then he reviewed the past evening.
As he gained a little more courage he then inquired of her. "When I asked if you would marry me,
did you say “Yes” or did you say “No?”

"Why you silly man, I said ‘Yes. Yes I will.’ And I meant it with all my heart."

The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat.

Then she continued. "And I am so glad you called because
I couldn't remember who asked me!”

Lin,

I thought you looked great in high school, kinda like a pair of chopsticks walking down the hallway.  That is what a woman should look like.

Happy Birthday to our Leader Emeritus!  Without his years of dedication to this website we wouldn't be here!  We hope it's a day filled with whatever you enjoy most!  We will celebrate together come fall!

And, yes, Larry, I'm here!

If you haven't signed up for the 70th birthday party this September, don't let the summer pass without doing so.  It will be our only get together this year and we'd like to celebrate with as many of you as possible!  Good gathering places, great food and fun people to enjoy for this milestone in our lives!
