John

To quote a line from one of my favorite movies  (Cool Hand Luke) - "What we seem to have here is a failure to communicate!"

What I told you on the phone is that I'd be happy to attend a meeting concerning the Football Reunion and share my opinion(s).    I did not  say that I would be co-chairman for the Football Reunion.  In fact, I said that I would not be a co-chairman.

I have lots of confidence in you and Eric to head it up and make the Football Reunion a great experience for all those involved.

Guy--trust me, those that live nearby get to help with reunion plans!  I did it until I moved to Columbus 3 years ago.  It takes a lot of people to make things happen.  Hopefully, even not being a co-chair you will lend much of your time to get the weekend to go off w/o a hitch!!  John will need a lot of people helping.  Hi to Deb!

This is a photo of my new granddaughter, Claire born February 20, 2012, President's Day, year of the Dragon.  Her dad played soccer against Guy Cartwright's son back  in the 80's.

Beautiful baby, Fred!  Congratulations to all of you!!!  We'd love to see you in June.  Debbie and Guy and I are teaming up again on Saturday, June 23, starting at noon for a BBQ at their beautiful new home in Huron.  It will be similar to last year's at the lake cottage.  Guy is grilling (bless him) and Debbie and I will be doing kitchen stuff.  Bring a dish of any kind to share with your classmates.  We will have everything else.  Will be making sun tea again but if you want something other than that, bring it along.  We wanted to let everyone know early so you can plan for that date.  We are hoping more of you will be able to make it this year.  We really had a great time last year!  More details will be coming along as it goes (like their street address which I don't have with me) but feel free to call me any time (541-870-4346).  We are really looking forward to seeing all of you in June!

Fred, that child is beautiful.  We won't be having any more infants. Everyone of the 4 remaining grandchildren is done having kids. I just so love the infancy stage & toddlers. They are so innocent & so funny to watch. Puppies & kids--love to watch them. They're so dependent upon us at that stage. Then the teen yrs.......yuk!!!

Hope anybody close by will be helping John Dawson. It's hard when you're the chair & nobody wants to co-chair or help.  I was PTA President & believe me it was all of the other volunteers who made my year earn $5000 for the first computers in Tahnee's school.

Barb will be coming to stay in a few wks. Haven't seen her since the beginning of Jan. I miss her since we are used to always being together!  Now people down here will think I cut my hair when they see her first! That's what people at Feridean always said before they got to know her! Don't really think we look alike but we still get stopped at the mall & people ask if we're twins!

If you are in Phoenix this weekend, don't forget the RRHS63 mini on Sunday, Feb 26.  We'll be at the Fountain Hills Arts and Crafts Show meeting at 1:00 pm at the beer garden.  We hope to get out of there, eventually, and roam around the arts and crafts, maybe : )

Happy Belated B-Day Al!!  I don't seem to be able to keep up as I don't get on the site as often as I used to do.  Congrats to Fred on that adorable baby & a favorite name, Claire.  There was a song about her name "Oh Claire"--Fred you must download it on your ringtone for awhile.

CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Holly Portz (Koiro), who submitted the winning entry in the 2012 Family Photo Contest.  Holly's chocolate lab and his little buddy eked out a close win over the second place entry.

THANKS, Holly, for entering - and thanks to all of the forum dwellers who voted, too.

MAX thanks all of you for your votes.  He is one very proud dog!  What he doesn't know is that his mama didn't vote for him so he won fair and square!

Thanks everybody.  Now I must figure out how to post photos of our two-legged family.

Holly,  While we are "good-lookin' dogs", that pic of Max was super cute!  Congratulations.  Tough choice because the other ones were great pictures as well.

Geez, I find myself logging on here, minimizing the browser, and just rockin' and rollin' to the excellent music!

Congrats, Holly!!  Even though I'm not a big dog lover, Max is adorable.  Lin & Fred have a springer spaniel that has become my friend.  My daughter has a little one (can't think of the name) that actually sleeps in my bed if they go skiing or something overnight.  Now that is something no one would have thought I would do!  Hope you are feeling well and happy.

Happy Belated, Al!  Sorry, I don't seem to get on this site regularly.  And Nancy--you look FABULOUS! I didn't even recognize you.  You have done an amazing job of sticking to a regime that worked for you.  Wow. You must feel so proud of yourself.

Holly, congrats for the win of your dog. That is way cute! The other pic was of Barb's grandkids on Christmas at my house. Cullen was not sure if that beard was real or fake! And it turned out to be real & I think he was a bit surprised. We had that Santa at our asst. living facility, & he looks so real--that is he looks like we all think a Santa should look. The first yr. we had him, Cullen was 5 & he opened the door & said, "Hey guys (to his cousins), Santa Claus is here. Wow!" They definitely were not expecting that!!! So cute. Anyway, they are 8 so this was the last yr. I am sure for believing. This yr. they were afraid NOT to believe!  Hope you feel great, Holly.

John, you all are doing so much work for this upcoming football thing. I am impressed!

I thought that I'd post this so that all out of town RRHS alumni would be aware of a situation  at our high school yesterday - Thursday March 1st.   A RRHS student phoned in a bomb threat.  The high school had to be evacuated.   The student was identified, has confessed to phoning in the threat, and now faces charges.

Nance: Call Barb/Me at 614-204-2598 & maybe we can get together. Don't know how far away you are, but let us know! Also,  Sue Gammel will be down here, as well as Sally Oblinger lives right by me! Wouldn't a mini reunion be fun???? Also, Cullen was a pill on Christmas, but that boy is the cutest thing. I volunteer at his school & the girls all fight over who will sit w/him at lunch! I laughed my head off. Tatem isn't into boys yet, but those boys!!!  They seem to be into girls! And it lasts a lifetime!!!!! My daughter "met" Cullen the Christmas before she died, & she said to me, "Mom, HE'S my boy!" She just loved his sweet face & he still has that sweet face, when he isn't being a pill!!!!

John: Fred/I will contribute maybe the 2 nite stay at a hotel from Feridean. Let me know what hotel (maybe the one you fell asleep at outside waiting for the pantie raid!) & I will get that taken care of as far as making that happen. I will have to know details & then will have a check or some kind of promised 2 day stay, however you want to make that happen!  Fred will be more than happy to agree to that, I know.  He's a generous guy for sure!
