I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I sure did...being grateful just to be here!!!

We had dinner at the neighbors with all the other   "neighborhood strays". Always a fun group.

I feel more stuffed than the turkey!

Our kids are all coming home the 10th of December for my first  "heart anniversary" and

Sooo glad your results came out well, Nance.  By the way, Barb is having foot surgery Wed. a.m. the 30th & is to be on crutches for 2 wks., then a cast for 2 wks, then a boot for 2-3 wks.  So probably a Sat. afternoon or nite on a weekend once she gets a cast on.  Just tell me & i will make the arrangements if many people are coming. Sue Gammel said she would like to come to one so maybe she'd pop in too.  Let me know.  Just email me at lpowrie@feridean.com.  L.

Her name was Mrs. Faranelli, an old white haired lady who looked like she left her broom outside.

I remember all the guys with the pointed shoes and D A haircuts hung out there after school. Cow Johnson, Donnie Watkins, Don Woods, Ted Fielding, Whitey Gdovin. If it wasn't for Whitey, who was my neighbor, and Cow  I wouldn't dare go in there.

Barbara Peate (Sabo)

Happy belated birthday, Nancy.  So happy about your good news.  I am asking for some prayers for my son's little girl, Reese.  Friday her finger got closed in a door & it was severed.  They sewed it back on and she goes to the best plastic surgeon in Southlake, Tx.  Derron knows so many people, many of them athletes that know the best doctors, and he was able to get her in on Monday.  They do not know if they can save her finger until they take a good look.  Derron is beside himself as are the rest of us.  An accident, of course, but  we all blame ourselves.  Below the joint all the bones are crushed as she is only 15 months old.  Say a little prayer that they can save her finger.  She is so darn sweet.  Thanks.

Barb

Barbie!

So sorry to hear about Reese but  it happens a lot unfortunately.  Cinnamon has one short finger from about the same age.  She stuck it in a door jam that got shut.  It's very painful.  Will be keeping that little one in my meditations!!!  Let us know how it goes for her!

Rest in peace Carol. Carol and I dated for a short time. She was a delightful, warm, caring girl. So sad we have lost another...another reason for us all to spend as much together as possible. Friends are a precious commodity...

Thanks for the notes from good friends.  Today Derron got Reese into the best surgeon in Southlake through a friend.  He has so many connections from his job.  He said it looks good & would see them Thursday to determine how the bone is healing.  I pray this little one keeps her tiny finger.  My son was so distraught when he first called me.  Believe he feels a bit better but not fully until he knows she will not lose her finger.

Thanks for the prayers as they worked!!  Reese had check up yesterday, stitches were removed, & she has no more they have to do.  Still don't know if she can move it or not yet, but I'm sure that will come.  I am sure Derron is much relieved but haven't talked to him yet.  Merry Christmas for all!

Nance:  You will kill me again:  I have once again misplaced Phyllis' address & I was SURE I had put it in my book. It must have blown off the counter w/the other 20 papers lying there!!! Can I get it again, & I guarantee I won't ask again.  I know it's Litchfield!  Thanks.

Holly: Have a wonderful Christmas this year.  I am having it once again at my house & I am making it clear the younger people are taking over!!!!!!!  I am too tired any more for all the work. I would love to go to someone's house & just sit!

Merry Christmas to the rest of our class as well.  Be safe & hope we can get together soon.  Barb's foot was in dressings for 2 wks. & she couldn't put her foot down at all; now it's in a cast for 2 wks.; then she gets a boot for 3 wks. I've had to do all her grocery shopping & running around. She couldn't do it if she wanted to!  Be glad when she's back on her feet again. Can't even drive!  So she'll be happy Jan. the 9th!

I think my email is working again which is linda@feridean.com.  What a pain Insight is!

Will leave for Fl. in Jan. thru April.  Can't wait to get away from this RAIN!!!!!!!!  John, how are you?  I have been so busy w/Barb's stuff, getting Christmas food done, wrapping, etc.  So sorry I haven't been in touch.  Email me sometime!

For those of you who have been keeping my wife Marsha in your prayers, they are working because we just got a favorable report from her Oncologist during our last visit yesteday.

The cancer has not advanced to anyplace else in her body. The cancer is breast cancer in her right lung. The tumors are actually starting to get a little smaller. Her bloodwork is good and she has a good amount of energy most of the time. She is on an injectable chemo once per month as well as a oral chemo two weeks on..and one week off. The bad side afffect of the oral chemo is that it makes her feet very sore causing them to crack making it hard to walk. It does the same to her hands as well. The Dr. changed the dosage and frequency and that has seemed to help alot. All things concidered...we are pleased with her progress. Marsha say's thankyou for all the prayers. I pray for all my classmates who are going thru crappy things. I remember when we were young,we talked about hot cars, and fast women,or was it fast cars and hot women...anyway,it just dosen't matter. Now we talk about who had the latest medical proceedure. Sure is a bummer being outa warranty!

Good Lord willin, and the creek don't rise, I may do a Cameo appearence to Rocky River sometime this winter just for the heck of it. In the meantime MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I love you guy's.......

Bruce: Oh my gosh, that is GREAT news about your wife!!!!! I know that God answered prayer because it says so in God's own words in the Bible about where there are people gathered to pray & prayer will be answered. Life is cruel sometimes, as Fred & I know. Christmas is so hard because Tahnee LOVED Christmas. It's hard to get up for it, but we do it for her as well as ourselves.

Have a wonderfult Holiday Season & may the New Year bring the best of health to both of you.

Barb is doing better now because she can finally walk at times on her cast.  What a pain (literally) her surgery has been.  And the recovery when your right foot is involved is awful. She can't drive till Jan.!!!

Blessings to all & I hope maybe we can get together before I leave.  After Christmas, I'm good!!!!!!  L
