Pat  -  great seeing you and Mary Ann two weeks ago and catching up a little bit with each other.   Looking forward to seeing the two of you at some RR, Bay and Mags soccer games this fall.

And to all my '63 classmates I hope everyone had a fun and healthy summer.  Best wishes to all of you.

Nancy is right, John.  But if you don't like bantering, then go to a different part of the table.  That's the beauty of getting together.  You just keep moving around!  Mike Manco's wife Bonnie, Sally Willey Johnson, Barb, me & Tootsie all sat and had great conversation and laughs last time!  However, you have come to some minis, so that's banter as well I think!  Bantering doesn't have to be politics & religion.  Everyone I know here in Col. begins talking about what's going on politically because that's what is happening right now.  After Nov., no one will discuss it.  You gotta admit this is an unusual election yr.. Several people sent me private messages saying EXACTLY what I said.  They just didn't post it.  I apparently hit a nerve in some people. Wherever we go, Nancy, it will be fun and some of us drive a long way to attend.  Just say where and we will be there. Have you seen the movie The Draft w/Kevin Costner?  It is such a great movie if you like the NFL. There, I just changed the banter!

Just found a gem on old photos, all classmates, from 1958, I think.  Found the Peate twins, Kathy Kleist, Tom Kelly, Tally Timm, (Al Greenleaf), Tom Wentz, Julie Schatzinger, and Larry Gilbert.  Am I right?  Party at my house!  58 years ago!!  Wow!!

Barbara Peate (Sabo)

OMG, the Peate twins used to dye their hair back then!  That is so funny.  I recognized everyone in the picture though and even remember Lin's and my outfits.  That's amazing.  Where did the time go?

Mother finally let us wear a "straight" skirt, which is now called a "pencil skirt".  How funny!  Where did you unearth that?  Were we EVER that young?  Wow!

OK Everybody,

Even though all you locals have been partying like rockstars.....It's time for the "SIXTH not so annual GATHERING OF GERIATRIC SILLINESS " I will be arriving in Cleveland on Sept. 17th (sat) and will be there returning to Arizona on Sept. 27th (tue).

So here's the plan...Getting together on the 23d and 24th (Fri/Sat) at two different local venues TBT. Maybe we could break the mold and do something off-the-wall....or just do one night at the Beachcliff Tavern... and whatever the second night. How about throwing some ideas out there and we will go with the majority. As always this is the highlight of my year...ranks right up there with me flying all over the country in WW2 Warbirds like I do. Anyway....Somebody get ahold of Gerry Gouch and Roger Schach for their special invite. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL !!!!!!! Stay tuned......

I'll get a hold of Gouch, Schach and other locals.  Glad to hear you are coming, Bruce!

It's that time again!  Two days until the First Thursday Class of '63 Happy Hour at the Yard House!  Their Happy Hour runs from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, so 5:30 is a good time to get at least one cheap drink!  They have a spot reserved for us under "Greenleaf".

I'll be there close to 5:15 pm.  The location again is,

The Yard House, 160 Union StreetWestlake, OH 44145  (440) 808-8403

I hope you can make it!  See you there!

So while you're chattin' at the Yard House Thursday, give some thought to Sept 23 and 24 when Bruce is here!  Check out both evening events on the Home Page here.Talk it up and call your classmate-friends.  Make sure everyone knows a class weekend is coming up soon!

If I knew Mickey was running, I might have done some things differently!

Was sorry to hear about the passing of Graham Wolcott.  Did not know him really, but may he rest in peace.

Barb, I agree.  I had not seen Graham since High School, but I did know him then.  He was a nice guy.

The class is getting smaller people!  That is why I hope we have a good turnout at the Yard House tonight.  There will be no rules on conversations.  Only on manners.  Republicans and Democrats are all welcome.  Please write all complaints in the space below.  :-)

Great news!  Sue (Gammel) & Ed Jacobsen will be joining us at the Beachcliff Tavern on Friday, Sept 23.  It will be great to see them again, along with Bruce and the rest of you who are coming (lots of you, we hope!)!!

It looks like it's the patio of where Herb's Tavern is or something along there as that looks like Rocky River!

Lin:  You're in the ballpark!  It is RR.  It's something (?) perched on a jetty surrounded by water!

I remember Graham from different classes I had w/him, but definitely didn't know him well.  Am always sorry when someone in our class passes away.  But we are definitely at that age.

We had a nice get-together for our 9/1 Class Happy Hour.  I doubt we will use the Yard House againb, primarily due to the lack of parking.  They have valet service, but it costs $8.00.  We will announce a new spot for the October 6th meeting, with good food and drink, but better parking!

Classmates!  We need your help!

We have announcement emails coming back due to bad email addresses.  Until we solve it, they can not receive invitations to events, or communicate with classmates through this site.  Please update your email, if you are on this list.  If you are in contact with people on this list, please let them know that their email addresses need to be updated.  If you, or they, have any trouble doing this, just email your new email address to the web site here, and we will do it for you, and notify you.  Thanks!

OK, is it the Yacht Club or near there?   Don't know any other restaurant on a body of water except along there as I have been gone from R.R. for 50 yrs. in any capacity to recognize things!!  Other than the lake along Lake Rd. all the way to Lakewood!

09/03/16 05:55 PM #2787

Ellen Aspinwall (Templar)

It's not a restaurant but it's down river from the yacht club.  I was actually standing on Frazier Dr. and zoomed in to take this shot.

Linda Peate (Powrie)

Have no idea!  Anyone who lived on Frazier?  I lived on the "other" side of the tracks!
