John Dawson badgered me to go on out a stupid blind double date with Marie Grube (RRHS Class of "65) on 10/26/62, and we have been together ever since. Going on that date was the smartest thing I ever did! She is the light of my life and the key to my happiness. We have had a great life together, and hope to have many decades more! We celebrated our 55th anniversary 6/21/23.
I retired from clinical practice of Pediatric Cardiology in Albany, NY (Assoc. Prof., Albany Medical College) 4/1/16. I have recently stopped teaching residents and Med students, as younger faculty have stepped in. I’m still missing my patients and colleagues very much, but still keep in touch with a dozen or two. However, I have never missed working a SINGLE day!
We are still active, hiking in the Adirondacks and bicycling 3 times a week, volunteering locally, and traveling. After being a road-racing instructor at tracks all over the Northeast for 20 years, I finally decided that at age 80, I should hang up my helmet. Man, do I miss it!
