My family arrives today and we will be busy but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope your holiday time is filled with fun and family and friends!  We will be keeping those in need of healing in our thoughts and meditations.  And we will be saying thanks for those that make this time possible.  Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Don't forget WHO we are thanking on Thanksgiving Day.

For you atheists you can thank Karl Marx, Bill Ayers or Van Jones.

I'll be "Thanksgiving" to family and many friends who bring the love, understanding and comfort that only they can bring, as they know us best.

And, "Thanksgiving" to our Armed Forces...past and present...who offer us the opportunity to acheive all that we have the strength and desire to by their efforts to keep our country secure

And, "Thanksgiving" to all the First Responders who have taken on the challange of being there for us in times of emergency and as a pilar of security, so that we may live our lives and continue our pursuits.

And, most of all... "Thanksgiving" to "The Leader of The Band" who orchestrates ALL  things...large and  small.  Tests us so that we may become stronger and blesses us with our rewards.

Thanks to all of you for your friendship.

Hey, Fred...You forgot Olinsky, Chairman Mao and Ceaser Chavez.

I think I am back on the road to recovery.  Had another setback, but seem to now be feeling better.  Just want to be able to get on the plane for Fla. Dec. 11.  Thanks for prayers of healing and a Doctor who never gave up trying to figure out this painful nerve in the groin.  Never felt that kind of pain.  Easing off now!

Brian, you couldn't have said it more beautifully.  As a believer I couldn't have gotten through all I have without Him.

Ellen, enjoy the Holidays w/your family & the same for all of those who will be fortunate to gather together.  We will only be with Judy, Barb, Fred & me.  Kids are all going in different directions.  Our parents were always fortunate to have all of us in the area & had breakfast at Mom/Dad's & later in the afternoon, dinner at our home.  Things aren't that way so much anymore.  Sad, but we have to go with things as they change.  So we thought we'd go to Fla. & start a new tradition.  Costco will be our store of choice this year.  Won't be able to do much cooking.  These surgeries really set me back.  But Barb has been the "angel" who has cared for me & helped out beyond belief.  Still can't drive yet.  I can't wait till h says I can!

Happy Holidays during this Blessed Season of love.

The only things that smell better than napalm on a sunny Vietnamese morning are the scents of gun powder and pepper spray at the local Wal Mart on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.  I'm sure that Wal Mart greeter regretted opening the door and watching that herd of cows trample him beneath their feet as they rushed to get those Black Friday shopping deals.

He must have wondered who opened the cattle pens in the ghetto and local trailer park.  Those sows are well fed on welfare and food stamps afterall. They will definetly run over anyone between them and their coveted sale item.  They will pepper spray each other or open fire with concealed handguns to protect their 50% off prize.  But you have to wonder how they will fit another $99 wide screen TV into their double wide or section eight rat hole.

Merry Christmas to all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my classmates from Indianapolis.  A couple of nights ago the ISO performed with Chris Botti - if you ever have the opportunity to hear he and his worldclass band live it is worth the cost of admission.  Now we are preparing for 25ish. Yuletide performances with Sandy Patti and some of the Von Trapp - yes, Sound of Music, great grandchildren.

Best to all and always a thank you for you who worked so hard on each detail of our reunion.

Paul

Fred you are too much!  Paul, performances sound wonderful.  Well, my move to Florida is looming closer.  December 11th I will fly down to my new home.  My brother-in-law (Judy's husband) will fly up and drive my car down.  I will fly with Linda so she is not alone at their condo.  The Pod will arrive December 13th and then all the unpacking begins.  Boy, didn't know I had collected so much in five years.  Happy Holidays to all.  Keep Nancy's son in your prayers as well as my sister that has been through h....... during the last couple months.

SURFING REBUTTAL:

As it happens, there are a bunch of crazy mofos who love to surf in Cleveland!  These hardscrabble types love WINTER surfing, as that is when the waves are the best!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S53RbhmexRc

If you agree with this, please admit yourself to the nearest local mental institution!  There are over 50 sphincter muscles in the human body.  Winter surfing makes all 50 of them go "CLENCH!!!"

I have fond memories of body surfing through raw sewage at Oakwood Beach as a young whippersnaper.

Ahhhh yes, the good old days!

Who happens to run into a star college athlete at Denver International Airport???  Who???  My grandson, that's who!!!  When Braydon said he'd been to the Ducks/Beaver game, Kenny said he has a very good friend that plays for the Ducks!  So exciting for my college man!

So, Barb/I are safely in Fla.  Her stuff arrives Fri. & she will be glad to have it all in one place.  Some was in the pod, some in her car that our brother-in-law is driving down next week & some in a large suitcase we brought!

I am so happy to be here w/warm weather so I can walk & get my legs back in working order.  I laid around for about 1-1/2 mo. & it takes a toll on your strength. But, I feel sooooo much better.  Thanks for the prayers & good wishes for Fla.

Hope you all have the best Holidays!

From the log of the Caribbean Princess, R/T Houston, 12-7-13 to 12-14-13:

Filet mignon and lobster tails were wolfed down with gusto.

Pina coladas were sipped in ecstasy.

Huge white whale sized passengers were viewed with hilarity.

Skinny dark skinned natives were viewed with amazement.

Bikinies were leered at secretly from corners of eyeballs.

Pools and hot tubs were duly peed in.

Mahogany Bay was well snorkeled.

Balcony at C218 was well snoozed.

Zumba was well danced.

Dinner table mates swapped incredible lies.

Mission accoplished!!!

Sounds like fun, Fred!  I assume no one went overboard & you didn't get stranded at sea waiting for held to arrive to take you home! Yippee!

Christmas is almost here.  Wow. Where did the year go? (Well,I lost 2 mo. of my life being in a drugged state so I could heal & begin a normal life!  It's so beautiful in Fla.  Sunny & low 70s, to mid 80s.  Will spend Christmas w/Barb & Judy & her husband.  Best of the Holidays to everyone (want to be politically correct saying Holidays instead of Merry Christmas!) !!!
