Marcia, I know Bruce suffered from the teenage angst.... but I had forgotten about his monobrow  ;>)

Marcia Pullin (Bruder)

Actually, that was my angst and monobrow I was referring to.  It has taken me years to live down both of them.

But I'm with Nancy in that everyone is much more fun now, and a lot more interesting.

Look at this warrior from 1968.  The globe foreshadows his military service for the next six years at the corners of the American Empire.

Fred, I'm trying to figure out that logo on your breast pocket.  Were you employed as a limousine driver at the time?

10/06/10 03:11 PM #673

Fred Thomas

Yes Larry, if you count driving a jeep through enemy fire as being a limo driver then you are right.  At least that's the way I remember it.

Ever want to save the music you heard on this site?

I use Firefox Browser, so, I'm not sure how it works on IE, but, for Firefox, if you download the Firefox Plugin called "Download Helper", it will save movies, music, or whatever.  The only hitch is when you "save as", you must put the name of the song in.  It does not know the name.  But hey.  Free tunes.  Right?

Ok LARRY, actually I was in the rear with the gear, but I did drive a jeep once and I fired a rifle at some targets.

Fred, I apologize for what may have seemed disrespectful.  All of us - especially those who didn't serve - appreciate the contribution of all of those who did.  I was really just kidding... but if it didn't sit right with you, I can appreciate that.  Your pal, Gilbs.

A few years ago many folks were spending money like drunken sailors.  Now many of those same folks have tightened up their budgets and are saving and not spending but maybe they were wrong both times.  This is the time for deals:

Gilbs,

I was just busting your chops.

Al,

For that price I was thinking about moving to the ship permanently.

Randy,

Nice photo.  I knew you were the real war hero.

Randy:

Ditto Fred and for all the others who were there--some of whom made it home but are not with us now.  There isn't enough thanks!

And those who served wherever they did so!!!

Support the troops.  Patrick MacAllister is in Afganistan still and we pray the next 4 weeks go quickly for him to return to his family in Germany!

Nancy, how about an update on Phyllis?  How much longer will she be at the Clinic?

Hang in there, Phyllis!

Randall Smith

Hi All

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I was just busting Fred about his limo jacket. I was a long way from being a hero, I just did my job. It was a long way from home and a very hostile environment to be in when your a young person. Support our country and our troops by flying the American Flag as often as you can.

Thanks Again

Randy

Yes, it is amazing that this FAT WEALTHY country produces young warriors like Randy Smith and Patrict MacAllister.  And we are able to maintain 600 overseas military bases without hiring foreign mercenaries.  The empire is still strong.
