All I can say is...WOW!!!! I am not sure how many showed up..but it was a bunch. What was interesting,is that there were some that never came to any of the Class Reunions. I want to thank Larry Gilbert for getting out the news on our class website...and Nancy Westerfield for coordinating with the Lizard.  You guy's ROCK !!

It blows me away on how beautiful our "Women of 63" look. You are still HOT !!!  I hope that this has rekindled in your hearts how important friends and family are. I hope that for that night we forgot all about our troubles and are aches and pains and the heartache that sometimes life can dish out. I know it did for me...it was almost like it was "As it was" for a few hours. As we get older..out options to do as we please get narrowed down for many reasons. That is why it is so important to do these kind of things while we can.

I hung out with alot of folks from the Class of 1962 (as that should have been my class) and a group of Car guy's and music guy's. I am really sorry now that I did not hang out with more of you guy's and girls. I feel I really missed out. I can't change the past...but 'Good Lord Willin"I can change the future. Hopefully...we can do this every year with a possible change in the meeting place as the Lizard was less than "Stellar"in accomodating our group, but it all came out in the wash in the end. I'm open for suggestions for the location for next year. The month of September seems to fit pretty well as the weather is just about right. LETS DO THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR !!!Thank you for comming..I am still blown away...I love you guy's.....

Wow, speaking for the women, I had a great time & so did Marcia, Sally, Barb & I.  Only thing was it was so stinking HOT in the Lizard.  I give that girl who waited on us a HUGE thank you because she kept everyone straight. Don't know how!

John D--Sally, Marcia & I sat up till midnight talking waiting for the raid, but you never came to the hotel. Or so we thought. Never thought of the bench. Oh well, you wouldn't want us to throw granny panties anyway, right???

I so enjoyed seeing Soros & Mimi & Phyllis & Linda M.W., & Gary Reese & Bruce & Brian & Caffo & Toots, & Jeannie, & Larry & Nancy & who else am I forgetting? Oh, Carol W. who we think looked like Sarah Pallin!  And Phyllis, you look fabulous as does Linda because I haven't seen you in so long. Soros too.  And Jeannie I haven't seen in forever.  Zbin's and Reali & John, gosh we just loved catching up & laughing.  Of course I see Barb every day! Lucky me.

Well, I don't think we should wait till a yr. to do it again. It was way too much fun. But Barb & I can only get there on a Sat. (same w/Sally & Marcia).  Never thought our class was really that close (except the clicks who still click at our reunions!) but in our old age, nobody cares about the clicks anymore!  Yippee! Loved seeing everyone

Oops, Sarah Pallin has only one L.  My mother was an English & spelling freak, so I pride myself for the most part in spelling. (Yes I was in the Press Spelling Bee) But our mom NEVER stopped drilling her English into us and spelling. (She was an English major in college!)

Well, in rereading & a note from John, I discover I misspelled "clique".  I guess it's obvious why I didn't win the Press Spelling Bee!!  Sometimes my hands go faster than my mind thinks the older I get!! I won't make that mistake, but probably will make other spelling errors at some point! John, good luck w/surgery Thurs. And Barb is having surgery on Fri.  Between Fred, me, Barb & my mom, I feel like I've spent the whole summer in hospitals!!  Hopefully, good reports will come from both John & Barb. I pray for both.

Barbara Peate (Sabo)

Thanks for the wishes & prayers.  I will be just fine.  I am more worried about John.  Best to you & we'll touch base when we're both better.  Loved the fun on Saturday seeing everyone.  Thanks to all who went out of their way to attend.  It was so worth it.  Gary Reis I haven't seen in years (he goes to my former church in Avon Lake).  Jeanne Heimbach Allen looks wonderful.  In fact I can't think of one of the men or women that didn't!  Barbie

Earlier this evening I received a phone call that no one likes to receive. It was from Sandy Shoemaker, wife of Dick Shoemaker (Class of 62) informing me of Dicks passing at 6:30 am this past Sunday morning. Dick had been suffering from some form of blood cancer for a number of years and during a phone conversation I had with him about a month ago, he stated he was feeling great.

Sandy said the cancer returned with a vengence and had spread everywhere thruout his body. Sandy and their daughters were with him when he passed and that he died peacefully. Dick was a true friend to me all the way thru High School and our tour together in the military......I will miss him...

John,

I heard that your gender transformation surgery went well and you are now known as Joan Dawson.  Send a photo so we can change the yearbook.

When I was sixteen I escorted a cute girl to the movies and to our surprise the characters in the movie had the same first names as we did.  As a pea brained teenager I thought that there must be something incrediably meaningful and not just a long shot coincidince in that rendevous.   The truth as life unfolded was a crushing blow to this Don Juan wannabe. Now years later I can't remember the name of the movie or the girl.  Perhaps she will post on the message board someday, whoever she is.

Fred:  Could it be BARB? Maybe not.  Holly, you are so great to finally get on this wonderful forum.  Fred still remembers dating you!  I pray good & long for Barb & John to come thru their surgeries & be A-okay soon.  B arb will come to my house to recover & I will make her laugh & she'll get mad because it hurts to laugh.  I LOVE HER!!!! WE ARE SO CLOSE & THAT'S SO COOL.

Thin Mint Lust

Is it time to order girl scout cookies yet?  I always get a couple of boxes of thin mints and I keep them exclusively for myself.  I love the thin shape and smooth feel to the touch.  somwtimes I let one lay on my tongue before I roll it around and really go down on it.  The ultimate experience is to have a three-way with a lovely glass of white milk.  Ahhhh yess!!!  Even though I favor the the dark chocolate outer covering my eyes and taste buds which are very non-biased wouldn't mind if thin mints came with a white chocolate, strawberry or carmel golden brown skin as long as they maintained their minty taste and trim smooth shape.  Any enhancements or increase in the size of thin mints would be unappealing.  Ahhhh yesss, thin mint lust!!!!

Nancy, it would be much appreciated if you post a mailing address for well-wishes and get well cards for Phyllis.  I think she will be surprised and gratified at the amount of support from her classmates.  Thanks, Larry.
