Have you ever noticed that the word "ubiquitous" is seen everywhere?

02/23/10 06:37 PM #317

Randall Smith

Ya Fred the water and the stupidity is ubiquitous in the state of Texas. And there is a plethora of it!

02/23/10 08:24 PM #318

Fred Thomas

Randy,

You probably have noticed all the "plethora" laying around everywhere. Plethora is ubiquitous and there is plenty of it.

By the way it has come to my attention that you have a morbid propensity for sloth and procrastination. Is that true or will you let me know later.

Fred
Are you speaking esperanto to cereate anastrophe? Or just being a horses ass. You really need to get off the Texas water. I have better things to do than play word games.

My addition awaits along with my hot rod. I am adding another 470 sq ft on to the house. Chris and I need more room for the shoe boxes. If you have Auto Cad I'll send you the drawings.

Fred Thomas

Randy,

Does Chris have as many pairs of shoes as Imelda Marcos did (6000)? I'm guessing the new room is off the family room. Send me some photos when you're finished. Warning there is a grinch looking over our shoulders.

Randall Smith

I guess you use shoe boxes for something different than we do. The gold bars might not stay in the box.

The addition is going on the east side of the house.

Happy 73rd birthday, Al Greenleaf! (He was held back a few times).

Remember Dick and Jane, Sally, Spot? "Run Spot run. Run run run." We learned to read on that thin bit of gruel. I didn't like reading until I started reading comic books and later "The Hardy Boys."

When my grandson brought home some books they were just as stupid. "Mat sat. Sam sat. Sam sat on Mat's hat." I still can't get that stuff out of my mind. I decided to write some new books with illustrations for Warren. "Warren Goes to the Zoo." and "Warren rides a Bike." He seemed more interested in those books. He reads them over and over.

When he is little older I will write some new books for him: "Warren Flys his F-22 into Combat", "Warren the Hunter Shoots Last Known Polar Bear" and "Dr. Warren Debunks Climate Change Hoax."

Hey guys! Thanks for the birthday wishes. It is nice to finally be on the Gov't Dole! From now on, I'm going to "Happy Birthday" EVERYBODY now that I have seen how nice it is. We really do have a good group.

Maybe I can save the Social Security money to get something to go "cruisin" with!

This cruisin thing is all new to me, but it sounds like fun. I want my 1968 Cougar XR-7 back! Ah, those were the days. I wonder if it still exists, somewhere in Ghana. I hope he liked driving in big circles, since the frame was bent.

By the way, if anyone wants to know all Fred's secrets, we were roommates at the University of Michigan, so, a crisp twenty will get you some good "blackmail him for his gold" stories!

Fred, I especially liked your story "Timmy Plays Doctor with Susie". I related well to that. For tewenty bucks I'll tell you who was the real Susie.....

This "mini-reunion in Arizona" thing is a great idea. We need more of that. It is nice to have some small excuse to drink!

Note to Randy and John: Hey. Play nice! (And don't run with scissors!)

We went to San Antonio a couple of years ago and stayed on the Riverwalk and had a great time. The people and food were great and theres a lot history there. We only stayed a week and didn't drink any water.
Al
We are playing nice and were walking slow.
Glad you made SS, I love it.
Let me know if you really get the urge to do the hot rod thing. There is something to do 7 days a week all summer.

John
I heard that Texas has Gated Communities for the Travel Trailers.

It sound like the Phoenix mini reunion is going to be fun.

Congratulations on starting to collect your social security, Al. Did they show you how much was in your account? Mine was bare except for an IOU from Uncle Sam but they told me not to worry, Uncle Sam has plenty of money and could never go bankrupt.

Alan Greenleaf

Boy, I really appreciate the good wishes guys. I haven't heard so many "happy birthday"'s since I was 6! I don't want to be blowing sunshine up your shorts, but I haven't had this much fun chatting and reconnecting, in ages. I hate to admit it, but this thread gives mew a few giggles as well. Not to mention learning about cruising, and ubiquitous plethoras! I'd just be a lot happier if they would triple Social Security... lol

Fred, they gave me (a little bit of) real money, so, maybe I got yours!

Al,

Tell the story about the time in high school when you left your date in the back seat of the car and I had to move in and entertain her. That's a real knee slapper!

Randy and John,

Do those rivers like the Cuyahoga still light on fire spomtameously up there in Ohio? Be careful when you drive over bridges as you might get your asses scortched.

Ellen,

Have you noticed a definite scarcity of "paucity?" There is very little of it around anymore. I used to have a dime bag of high quality Mexican "paucity" in the closet, but when I went to get it there were only a few seeds.

02/25/10 11:37 PM #331

Ellen Aspinwall (Templar)

Fred---a few seeds of a young horse? (O.E.feawe "few", fola "young horse") Hmmmmmm.......Hey...I didn't write the dictionary......They grow horses in Texas, don't they???? Maybe there's a paucity of horses where yer at......Better head to Wyoming as there's a plethora of horses there! Just ask the cowboy!

02/25/10 11:55 PM #332

Randall Smith

There is a plethora of RANK bulls in Wyoming too. But not the bull that Fred's talking.

Randy and John,

Texas Obelisks are so monumental, monolithic and towering stone pillars compared with the Ohio diminutive, liliputian, peewee, pocket sized landmark rocks that are covered with buckeye juice. Why is that?

I am merely trying to edify, educate, uplift, and enlighten while people like Randy who use acronyms, abbreviations, contractions, and condensations are trying to obfuscate, obscure, confuse, and befuddle.

Sorry, this is the result of learning all those 75 cent words from Burford.

They predicted a tsunamie in Hawaii with 8-12 foot waves. Big deal, I've sailed in small boats on Lake Erie in waves that high.
