Have you ever considered the threat to life on earth that bovine flatulence poses?  That particular methane gas traps heat in the atmospere at a rate 15 times higher than CO2.  However, global warming scientists at the Al Gore Institute have come up with a way to mitigate this serious threat.  When burned, methane becomes water vapor and CO2.  The only thing that is needed is the spark.  And their answer is to hire thousands of people who were laid off from the post office to go out to the fields and farms to light those cow farts.  Viola!!

I'm going out on a limb here:

Tallie Timm, Janet Soros and Barb Austin.

BTW, Fred--Very funny. If I run out of Social Security I can get a job as a cowfart lighter.

Clark  Your concern about enviornmental issues is impressive.  Clearly you are ready to move beyond recycling, driving a Prius and installing a windmill on your roof..  We are trying to clean up all stray methane so as to avoid an enviornmental disaster and another mass extinction.  Before we send you out to the field to ignite bovine flatulence you can get some experience at your local senioir center.  Those old coots have plenty of gas.  Be careful not to go there with your igniter right after lunch as the methane levels can be toxic and you could set of an explosion like the Hindenberg.

24 States have passed "Right To Try" legislation. For those of you who may be concerned for your future or a loved one or friend, you can support this movement in a variety of ways.  Visit Darcy Olsen's website to learn one of them:  "The Right To Try:  How the Federal Government Prevents Americans from Getting the Life-Saving Treatments They Need"  www.DarcyOlsen.com.

For additional ideas on how to assist with this most important issue scroll around here:    http://www.goldwaterinstitute.org  You can sign the petition and learn more.  GI is a government watchdog 'think tank' that litigates in defense of The Constitution and supports a variety of important issues in many other ways on your behalf. GI exists on the generosity of their supporters nation wide. If you discover an issue close to your heart and can spare some change send them a few bucks.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Whenever I hear that song, I think of the very end of the movie The Killing Fields, about the genocide in Cambodia.  It was a brutal movie to watch, but I'm glad I saw it, and it was so emotional to have that song at the end of the movie.  It is a great song, and thanks for posting it Ellen.

Happy Birthday to Nancy Westerfield Depew.  Thanks for all the many things you do for the class events and for being a great friend to everyone! I hope it's an extra special day of celebration for you today!  If nothing else I hope you find a great cuppa coffee somewhere warm and relaxing!  You deserve it!

I thought I was really good at identifying people, but the pretty blond lady on the left is a mystery to me.  Call me crazy, but it sure looks like Susan Harris (Glazer)  in her youth.....  How about a little help here?

And Nancy, you have wonderful grandchildren that really take care of you!  Again, hope your birthday was special.
