Great picture Ellen of your grandkids and fiancee.  Was the Halloween wedding a real wedding?

I'll bet people will be getting their pictures and books soon.  We talked with the couple that did the photograhs as we were leaving the dinner dance on the Saturday night of the reunion, and they seemed like nice people.  They said this is what they do for a living and I believe them. Here's hoping!

Evergreen (and anyone else who might be wondering):  Yes, Zach's mother got married on Halloween eve.  Zach escorted her down the isle dressed as you see him in this photo.  It looks to have been a fun time (see pix below:  Zach is on your far right, mom (of course) is in the middle in white and Zach's sis, Tina, is 2nd from your left in black sweater).  All the decorations were orange, black and purple with lots of black cats, pumpkins, etc.

Ah, thanks for the enlightenment!  Great picture of the wedding party!  Thanks Ellen. Zach would actually make quite a pretty young woman.. I love that he was game to do it!

John and Nancy,

I still want to keep the "Geriatric Silliness" thing going. Next year would be the 5th one. Usually it has been around the second week in September...but we could plan it sometime in October if everybody is good with that. Sooo..everybody..."Geritric Silliness" next fall for sure. I am going to try to come back sometime this winter for a few day's just to hang whit my homies!

Bruce, GREAT IDEA!  And no one is more Geriatrically Silly than you are, so... you're the point man!

I am currently filling in for Larry and will be learning how this web site works.  Let me know what you want posted or announced, and I can send mass emails as well.  Thanks Bruce!

I had such a flurry of activity in my life after the Reunion that I never wrote to say how much I truly, truly appreciated the effort everyone who did the planning put into the event.  It could not have been more fabulous.  I had to push myself on the plane (hate flying, didn't want to leave my dog, other dumb stuff), and from the minute I landed I had an outstandingly wonderful time.  Thank you so much....especially organizers, but also everyone who just showed up and made it really fun.  The only downside was, of course, that there wasn't enough time to spend with everyone and really get caught up.  But that's the nature of the beast I guess.

I wasn't going to get a reunion book, but the people called yesterday, and I eagerly ordered it, and will have lots of fun looking through it.  I've told lots of friends and family about the fun I had, and I am sooo happy I did it!

Get out of your death beds all you 63 codgers.  Jump into your wheelchairs and grab your crutches.  Bring your suppositories, wooden legs and colostomy bags and lift a glass of geritol or senior coffee to Rocky River High and we'll all sing the old fight song:

Rocky River hats off to thee,

Maybe we might fight fight fight,

Might for maroon and white.

Maybe soon for white and maroon,

Sleep till noon white and maroon,

Sometime in June for white and maroon.

GO RIVER!!!

go pirates,bring us a win

isn't it funny, that our reunion was in sept., and alot of us are still talking about what a great time we had,i guess that means the people who put it together did a great job, and the people who attended did a even greater job by having fun. thanks to everyone who could come,it was amazing to see some of them.alot of work, but sure worth it. thanks again.

When Kathleen Sebelius said she would take "full responsibility" for the Obamacare website mess I expected her to show contrition by performing Seppuko, Japanese ritualistic suicide, but no she didn't even resign.  "Taking full responsibilty" has no meaning in our culture anymore.

got my book and picture today, very nicely done, glad it came.  some of my fb people know this, but let me tell you the tex i got at work at 7:55 today from my 13 year old grandson. we have bomb threats at school if something happens i love you. my heart went to the floor and never came back up,tears in my eyes. how do you protect them from this evil,i'm still upset over this, everything turned out ok this time, but what about the next time. i don't understand any of this, this really has to stop, fairview had 2 last week, olmsyed falls had 5,where does it end.so anyone who has grandkids know how i feel-scared.love your kids, thats what i do, and tell them you love them every chance you get.

Robert (Mike) Kelley

Nancy, I know how you feel. Three of my  grandchildren  go to Olmsted Fall Middle and High schools.

Plus our daughter in law is a subsitute teacher at the middle school so it hits home with us too.

The ones in Fairview where we live were called in by a 32 yr old guy who runs a computer repair

around the corner from the school.

John is right, the old days aren't so bad.

mike, i know it was a 32 year old in fairview, but i don't think he's the one who did the high school the same day, plus olmsted had 5 last week, wow, then ben said the day before they had lock down, det. and police all through the school, someone said they had a gun. good thing i can put a rinse on my hair, he said he just wanted mom, dad, and me to know he loved us. these kids have so much to worry about, our days were so much better, like john says, our pranks didn't hurt anyone, they were fun.feel sorry for these kids now adays.

Congrats to the State Champion Rocky River High School girls soccer team!

It's interesting that former football players like Pat, Guy and me all fell in love with the "beautiful game", soccer.
