We are sad to report the passing of Ron Caffo. Ron had a short, fast battle with cancer. Ron and Barb passed on the same night. We are hoping they are comforting each other in heaven. We will report more as we learn it.
Ronald Gregory Caffo, 80, of North Olmsted passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a brief illness. Ron was born April 22, 1945 in Lakewood, Ohio. He had attended Fenn College and was the owner-operator of Ohio Burial Case; a custom casket manufacturer in Cleveland. Ron was an avid dog lover; Irish Setters were his favorite breed. He served as President of The Lorain County Kennel Club and loved to attend hot rod shows. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; Jacquelyn Mae (nee: Bolte), two daughters; Pamela Mayo and Shari Caffo, and grandson; Logan Mayo. Additional survivors include two sisters; Wanda Armburger (Jerry), Lori Miles (Steve), sisters-in-law, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; Salvatore and Grace (nee: Carter) Caffo, and a sister; Linda M. Caffo. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Saturday January 24, 2026 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where a brief memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon immediately following visitation. Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will be private.
